Some clerics with special relationships to nature may call upon the elements to rise up and aid him or her. There are four kinds of elementals that may be called upon, and each can provide a special ability to aid their master. These abilities are called upon by using a 'whipser' to the creature. Earth elementals, who can be commanded to 'barricade' a room. Fire elementals, who can be commanded during a fight to 'burn them'. Water elementals, who can aid the cleric in going underwater when told 'surround me'. Air elementals, who can be commanded to take a cleric into the skies when told to 'fly'. Thorn elementals, who can be ridden as a mount or ordered to armor themselves in spikes with the command 'thorns'.
