'shield block'

Deflect incoming attacks with your shield. Checks your constitution, in a way that max con (i.e. dwarves) have a significant bonus, but the difference between 24 and 23 isn't that large. If you're in normal or any grade of offensive stance, it goes after parry: parry -> shield block -> dodge. If you're in defensive or porcupine stance, it goes first: shield block -> parry -> dodge.
