Necromancers follow the belief that magic is to be kept secret and used for personal power. In following this tradition they do not grant their darker magic to another necromancer until the mage has proven his or her worth. This means that necromancers must become skilled enough in certain skills or spells before they are granted insight into more advanced ones that the necromancer may learn.
