By itself the command 'forms' will list all the shapeshift and
transformation forms that a mage can change into at his/her current level.
Initially a transmuter mage must select a major path for their forms,
which may be either offense or defense. Offense forms tend to hit harder
and more often in combat, while defense forms are able to take more
punishment and can do various special defensive actions in combat.
Air forms are those which can fly high over the land and take a mage
across large distances at single steps. All transmuters learn an air form
of some type to aid them in their travels. Unlike other forms, an air form
requires mana to maintain and should the mage run out while flying he/she
will die in mid-air, with no chance of recovering their equipment.
Once a magic-user selects his or her major shape path it cannot be
changed, and the forms granted are selected randomly and learned only once
the mage reaches the minimum level to use them (which may also vary
slightly from mage to mage).
Only transmuters who have majored in alteration magic will
learn a major form type.
