Over time rangers become so in-tune with the animals of the wild that they
are able to form spiritual bonds with them. Although rangers are familiar
with all types of wild animals, it is to one specific species that he or
she will most identify. This affinity results in some of that animal's
characteristics being imparted upon the ranger.
Rangers may choose to have an affinity with one of the following animals:
Bears, who dominate through their sheer physical strength.
Bison, who survive through their hardiness.
Falcons, who are best associated with their fast flight and night hunting.
Wolves, who represent one of the fiercest fighters of the wild.
Panthers, who are best known for their silent and deadly hunting skills.
A ranger's animal affinity is a lifelong association that is permanently
bound to his or her spiritual well-being. The choice should be made with
care because it is permanent once chosen and can not be changed.
Only rangers of the 10th rank or higher may have an animal affinity.
